Have Questions About Applying to Graduate School?

We know the admissions process can feel overwhelming, so we’ve made it simple. Explore answers to the most frequently asked questions—from timelines and fees to course formats—so you can focus on planning your next step with confidence.

Is there an application fee, and can it be waived?

Yes, there is a $30 application fee; it is waived for Lincoln University graduates.

What are the application deadlines for each semester?

Application deadlines for domestic students is 30 days prior to the start of the semester. For international students, the deadlines are May 1 and October 1.

Can I apply to more than one program?

Applying to more than one program will require a separate application for each program. 

How long does it take to receive an admission decision?

Once all required documentation is received, the application packet is shared with the department for review. We request at least 10 working days for a decision to be shared.

What happens if I’m admitted conditionally?

If you are admitted conditionally, you cannot continue past nine (9) graduate hours without meeting the conditions of your admittance.

Can I complete my program part-time or while working full-time?

Our graduate programs are designed with working professionals in mind. Please work with your academic advisor to determine your best plan!

Are financial aid or assistantship opportunities available?

We encourage all applicants to complete their FAFSA and work with a financial aid advisor. Limited assistantships are available. 

How do I apply for financial aid, and what is the school code for FAFSA?

What technology or learning platforms are used for online classes?

Lincoln University uses Canvas as the Learning Management System.

Are international students eligible to apply for all programs?

Yes, international students can apply for all programs. Please note students may not be approved for travel if enrolled in a fully online program.

What are the English proficiency requirements?

If English is not the primary spoken lanuage of origin, an English proficiency test must be completed. Please contact Graduate Studies for a list of approved exams.
